Keycap-set Traitors UKIYO-E, PBT-materiaal, UK-layout (TRDUKI108UK)

Traitors UKIYO-E is a PBT keycap set created for keyboards with the UK (ISO) layout. The set replaces standard keycaps on mechanical keyboards with dye-sublimated or double-shot printed legends on durable PBT material to provide consistent surface texture and increased resistance to shine and wear. Designed for compatibility with common MX-style stems, it suits custom builds and upgrades where a UK layout is required.

Advantages

The PBT construction offers greater durability and a matte texture that reduces gloss from prolonged use. Legends are produced to withstand abrasion so characters remain legible over time. The set is manufactured to match UK ISO key sizes and provides a uniform profile across rows for predictable typing feel. Materials are less prone to oil absorption compared with ABS, helping the set retain its original look and tactile quality.

Suitable for

• Replacing worn or damaged keycaps on UK-layout mechanical keyboards
• Custom keyboard builds that require ISO Enter and additional UK-specific keys
• Upgrading from ABS to PBT for improved longevity and feel
• Users who prefer a consistent matte typing surface with clear legends

Key specifications

• Material: PBT (polybutylene terephthalate)
• Layout: UK (ISO) compatible key sizes, including ISO Enter and left-side shift variants
• Compatibility: MX-style cross stem switches and compatibles
• Legend method: wear-resistant printing suitable for prolonged use
• Profile: uniform row profile designed for standard mechanical keyboard ergonomics

How to use

Remove the existing keycaps using a keycap puller, taking care with stabilised keys by gently easing the stabiliser wires free. Align each PBT keycap on the MX-style switch stem and press down until seated. For stabilised keys such as the spacebar, Enter and left Shift, ensure stabiliser clips or wires are correctly positioned before fully pressing the keycap into place. Verify all keys actuate properly and re-seat any caps that feel loose.

Recommendations

To keep the keycaps in good condition, clean periodically with a soft brush or lightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals. When installing on custom or highly compact layouts, check key sizes and row profiles for compatibility before fitting.
