Kloofwig BAHCO 6310, 390 g – stalen kloofwig voor hout

BAHCO 6310 is a 390 g steel splitting wedge designed to concentrate striking force for efficient wood splitting. Compact and robust, the wedge is intended to split logs and kindling, helping to initiate or extend cracks in timber. It is suitable for use with a hammer or maul and is convenient to carry and store for outdoor, workshop and domestic firewood preparation.

Advantages

How to use

Place the wedge into an existing crack or position it on the end grain of the log where you want to split. Hold the wedge steady and strike the blunt end with a hammer or maul until the wedge bites and the crack opens. For larger pieces, repeat placing and striking along the split to advance it. Always ensure stable footing and secure the workpiece before striking.

Recommendations

Use appropriate eye and hand protection and strike with controlled blows; avoid glancing blows. Do not use a damaged or excessively deformed wedge. Store dry and inspect the wedge for nicks or cracks before use.
