Knipex 86 03 125 waterpomptang

The Knipex 86 03 125 slip-joint pliers are compact, precision-machined hand tools designed for general gripping, holding and light bending tasks. Constructed from chromium-vanadium steel, these pliers combine wear resistance with stable jaw alignment. At 125 mm overall length and weighing approximately 105 g, they offer a balance of reach and control for confined workspaces. The adjustable slip-joint mechanism permits a maximum nut width of 23 mm, making the tool suitable for common household and workshop fasteners.

Advantages

These slip-joint pliers feature a hardened gripping surface for a secure hold on flat, round and hexagonal parts. The chromium-vanadium steel construction increases durability and resists deformation under normal use. Their compact size and low weight improve manoeuvrability and reduce user fatigue during repetitive tasks. The slip-joint adjustment allows quick adaptation to different object sizes without additional tools.

Suitable for

• Gripping and holding small components during assembly or repair
• Tightening and loosening nuts and bolts up to 23 mm
• Bending and shaping thin metal or wire
• Removing pins, nails or staples in confined areas
• General household, automotive and workshop maintenance

Key specifications

• Material: chromium-vanadium steel
• Total length: 125 mm
• Weight: approx. 105 g
• Maximum nut size (jaw capacity): 23 mm
• Type: slip-joint pliers with adjustable pivot
• Grip style: straight jaws with hardened gripping surfaces

How to use

Position the jaws around the workpiece and adjust the slip-joint to the appropriate setting before applying force. Hold the handles firmly and apply steady pressure to grip, twist or bend the part. For tightening or loosening fasteners, ensure the jaws sit squarely on the nut or bolt to minimise slipping and avoid damage. Release the handles gradually when the task is complete and store the pliers in a dry place to prevent corrosion.

Recommendations

Use the pliers within their rated jaw capacity and avoid using them as a hammer, pry bar or cutter. Keep the gripping surfaces clean and free of oil for best contact. Periodically check the joint for smooth adjustment and apply a light corrosion-inhibiting oil if necessary.
