Waterpomptang Knipex 87 21 300

The Knipex 87 21 300 slip-joint pliers are 300 mm long, engineered for general-purpose gripping, turning and holding tasks in plumbing and mechanical work. Constructed from high-quality materials, these pliers provide stable leverage and a comfortable working weight of approximately 530 g. The slip-joint mechanism allows quick adjustment to different jaw widths, while the jaw geometry supports secure gripping of pipes up to 70 mm in diameter and nuts up to 60 mm across flats.

Advantages

These slip-joint pliers combine robust construction with precise adjustment, delivering reliable performance across repeated use. The long handles produce effective leverage for high torque applications, while the hardened gripping surfaces improve slip resistance on round and flat components. At 300 mm length the tool balances reach and control, and the relatively compact weight reduces operator fatigue during extended tasks.

Suitable for

• Plumbing installations and repairs involving pipes and fittings
• Mechanical assembly and maintenance work on machinery and vehicles
• Workshop tasks requiring adjustable gripping of round or hexagonal parts
• General household repairs and DIY projects

Key specifications

• Overall length: 300 mm
• Maximum pipe capacity: 70 mm diameter
• Maximum nut capacity: 60 mm across flats
• Weight: approximately 530 g
• Adjustable slip-joint mechanism for variable jaw opening
• Hardened gripping surfaces for improved slip resistance

How to use

Select the appropriate jaw position by opening the slip joint and sliding the pivot to the required setting; then close the handles until the jaws securely contact the workpiece. Apply steady pressure to turn or hold the pipe or nut, ensuring the gripping surfaces sit flush against the component. For repetitive or high-torque operations, reposition the tool as needed to maintain a safe, comfortable grip and avoid overloading the slip joint.

Recommendations

Inspect the pliers before use for wear or damage to the gripping surfaces and pivot mechanism. Use the tool within its specified pipe and nut capacities to prevent slippage or damage. Keep the pivot area clean and occasionally lubricate for smooth adjustment. Store in a dry place to protect the material finish and maintain reliable performance.
