In a modern conference room or lecture hall, presenters often need to connect laptops with different video outputs to a single HDMI display. The Kramer K-SPIDER solves this by combining HDMI, DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort, and USB-C inputs into one active adapter cable, delivering 4K video to any HDMI projector or screen.

Key specifications

• Inputs: HDMI male, DisplayPort male, Mini DisplayPort male, USB-C male (24-pin)
• Outputs: HDMI male for video, USB-A male for power
• Cable length: 3.05 m (10 ft)
• Max resolution: 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling
• Max data rate: 18 Gbps
• Active adapter with HDCP 2.2 support
• USB powered, plug and play

Why choose it

This adapter eliminates the need for multiple dongles and cables. Its active design ensures reliable signal integrity over the 3-meter length, supporting full 4K60 4:4:4 without compression. The USB-A connector draws power from the display or a USB port, so no external power supply is needed.

Ideal use cases

• Meeting rooms with mixed laptop fleets (Windows, Mac, Chromebook)
• Classrooms and lecture halls with HDMI projectors
• Digital signage installations requiring flexible source connectivity

Good to know

The cable is black and built for daily professional use. It supports audio pass-through via HDMI. Since it is active, it works with sources that output DisplayPort dual-mode or USB-C Alt Mode, converting to HDMI for any display.
