Krimpkous DeLOCK 18938 zwart 5 m 1 cm

The DeLOCK 18938 heat shrink tube is a 5 m long polyolefin sleeve with a maximum diameter of 1 cm, designed to insulate and protect cables, wires and electrical connections. When exposed to heat the tube shrinks and forms a tight protective layer that improves mechanical resistance and provides weather protection for electrical joints and exposed wiring.

Advantages

This heat shrink tube is made of polyolefin and is black in colour, offering reliable electrical insulation and abrasion resistance. Its 5 m length allows multiple uses or cutting to required lengths for individual repairs. The 1 cm maximum diameter fits a wide range of cables and connections while providing a secure, close-fitting cover after shrinking.

Suitable for

• Insulating and protecting exposed wire joints
• Repairing damaged cable insulation
• Bundling and organizing cable runs
• Providing additional mechanical protection for connectors

How to use

Cut the required length from the 5 m heat shrink tube, slide it over the cable or joint to be protected, then apply heat evenly with a heat gun, hot air tool or suitable heat source until the tube tightens and conforms to the shape of the cable. Allow the sleeve to cool so it hardens and secures the insulated area.

Recommendations

Use a regulated heat gun at an appropriate distance to avoid overheating the cable insulation or adjacent components. Do not use open flame directly on the tube. Choose a tube diameter that provides sufficient coverage before shrinking.
