Krimpkous DeLOCK 18976 zwart 1 m 1 stuk

The DeLOCK 18976 heat shrink tube is a 1 m long polyolefin sleeve with a maximum diameter of 1.6 cm and black finish. It is designed to insulate and protect cables, wires and electrical connections by shrinking tightly around them when heated, providing weather and mechanical protection for exposed cable sections and joints.

Advantages

The polyolefin material offers good electrical insulation and durability. The 1 m length and 1.6 cm maximum diameter allow use on a range of cables and joints. The black colour provides a professional appearance while delivering protection against moisture and mechanical abrasion.

Suitable for

• Insulating and protecting individual wires and cable joints
• Repairing damaged cable sheaths
• Securing and bundling small cable groups
• Sealing connectors and terminals against moisture

How to use

Cut the heat shrink tube to the required length, slide it over the cable, splice or connector, then apply heat evenly (for example with a heat gun) until the sleeve shrinks snugly around the cable. Allow to cool so the tube sets and provides a secure insulating layer. Ensure cables are clean and positioned before heating to achieve a uniform shrink.

Recommendations

Use an appropriate heat source such as a regulated heat gun and avoid open flames. For electrical installations, follow applicable safety standards and disconnect power before applying the heat shrink tube. Select a tube diameter that provides adequate overlap before shrinking.
