KVM-switch ATEN CS1142H4 USB HDMI 4K Ultra HD

The ATEN PSD PP v4.0 Secure KVM Switch CS1142H4 is a security-focused KVM switch that lets one set of keyboard, mouse, monitor and speaker be shared between multiple computers while providing strong isolation between connected systems. Certified to the PSD PP v4.0 Protection Profile by NIAP, the CS1142H4 is designed for environments requiring stringent data separation and peripheral security, supporting HDMI video output up to 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz and housed in a durable metal casing.

Advantages

The CS1142H4 enforces isolation and unidirectional data flow between connected sources, preventing unauthorized data exchange when switching port focus. It implements restricted peripheral connectivity and configurable device filtration, strict audio filtering, user data protection, and an always-on tamper-proof design. Manual switching through front-panel pushbuttons and an optional Remote Port Selector (RPS) reduces attack surface from automated interfaces. The unit supports a single USB keyboard and mouse set with HDMI video and is suitable for secure desktop deployments.

Suitable for

• Government and military installations requiring compartmentalisation
• Intelligence and defense environments with strict certification needs
• Healthcare providers handling protected health information
• Banking and finance institutions that separate sensitive systems
• Any organization needing secure peripheral sharing across classified networks

Power the unit from an AC source within the device’s specified range. Switch control is performed manually using the front-panel pushbuttons or via a separately purchased Remote Port Selector (RPS) device. When switching, verify the active port focus indicator to ensure the correct computer is selected before entering sensitive data.

Recommendations

For secure deployments, keep firmware and any management tools updated according to ATEN guidance, use only the manual switching methods provided, and purchase the Remote Port Selector separately if remote manual switching is required. Follow organizational procedures for handling classified data and verify physical security and tamper-evident status regularly.
