LAN-patchkabel Extralink Cat5e FTP 1 m, F/UTP afgeschermd, RJ-45 naar RJ-45, zwart

Extralink LAN patchcord Cat5e FTP, 1 m is a shielded Ethernet patch cable designed for short, reliable connections between network devices. The cable uses four twisted copper pairs with F/UTP (FTP) shielding and terminates in gold-plated RJ-45 connectors on both ends. Its 1 m length and flexible construction make it suitable for patch panels, switches, routers and workstations where a compact, shielded Cat5e link is required. The cable supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) thanks to its pure copper conductors and follows the category 5e performance standard.

Advantages

The Extralink Cat5e FTP patchcord combines F/UTP shielding with flexible construction to reduce electromagnetic interference while remaining easy to route in dense installations. Gold-plated, screened RJ-45 connectors provide stable contact and corrosion resistance. The pure copper conductors enable reliable data transmission and support PoE-powered devices. The short 1 m length minimises excess cable while providing a neat connection between adjacent equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels in rack or cabinet environments
• Linking workstations, desktop PCs and VoIP phones to the network
• Short-distance connections in office, home or small data closet setups
• Environments where shielded cabling is required to limit EMI

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e (FTP / F/UTP)
• Length: 1 m
• Conductor material: pure copper, twisted pair (4 pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated, screened
• Colour: black
• Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE)
• Flexible jacket suitable for patching and short cable runs

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector at one end of the patchcord into the Ethernet port of the first device and the other RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of the second device until each connector clicks into place. Use the 1 m cable to connect adjacent rack-mounted equipment, patch panels, switches, routers or desktop devices. Avoid tight bends near the connectors and keep the screened braid continuity intact when routing within metal racks to maintain shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this shielded Cat5e patchcord in installations that benefit from EMI protection, such as near electrical equipment or in densely cabled racks. Ensure connector shielding is properly mated with shielded ports or panels to preserve the F/UTP grounding; avoid excessive bending radii and do not expose the cable to mechanical stress or prolonged outdoor conditions.
