LevelOne 18dBi 5GHz richtantenne dual-polarisatie voor buiten

The LevelOne WAN-9180 is an 18 dBi directional dual-polarization panel antenna intended for outdoor wireless links in the 5 GHz band. Its +45° and -45° array polarizations focus signal energy into a concentrated direction to improve coverage and throughput in environments with potential interference. The antenna features weather-resistant construction suitable for elevated outdoor mounting and is rated IP67 for protection against dust and moisture.

Advantages

The dual-polarization design reduces cross-polarization interference and supports antenna diversity for more reliable connections. With high 18 dBi gain, the panel provides extended range and concentrated coverage in the 5 GHz band. The IP67 enclosure and robust build enable stable outdoor operation in windy or wet conditions, while a wideband frequency response allows compatibility with current 5 GHz WLAN equipment and provides flexibility for future deployments.

Key specifications

• Frequency band: 5 GHz (IEEE 802.11a/n)
• Gain: 18 dBi
• Polarization: Dual-polarization (+45° / -45°)
• Type: Directional panel antenna
• Ingress protection: IP67 (dust- and water-resistant)
• Mounting: Wall or flat-surface mounting, suitable for elevated outdoor installation

How to use

Mount the WAN-9180 on a stable flat surface such as a wall or near a window at an elevated outdoor position to achieve the intended directional coverage. Align the panel so its main lobe points toward the target area or remote radio unit, and secure the mounting hardware according to site conditions. Connect the antenna to compatible 5 GHz radio equipment using appropriate coaxial cabling and weatherproof connectors; verify polarization alignment (+45° / -45°) with the radio to optimize performance.

Recommendations

For best results, install the antenna above obstructions and ensure clear line-of-sight to the receiving station. Use weatherproofed cable entries and regularly inspect mounting hardware for corrosion. Match antenna polarization with the connected radio and consider professional alignment when integrating into point-to-point or point-to-multipoint links.
