Lindy 45589 netwerkkabel grijs 20 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

Cat.6 S/FTP networking cable with a 20 m length and support for bandwidths up to 250 MHz. This Lindy Cat.6 SSTP (S/FTP PIMF) cable is manufactured to ISO/IEC 11801 and features a grey halogen-free (LSZH) sheath, gold-plated contacts and a snagless connector design, suitable for Ethernet standards up to 1GBase-T.

Advantages

The shielded S/FTP construction (braid overall shield plus foil individually around pairs) reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting reliable Gigabit Ethernet performance. Gold-plated contacts provide corrosion resistance for long-term, stable connections, while the snagless strain relief protects the connector latch during installation and removal. The LSZH outer jacket limits smoke and toxic halogen emissions, making the cable suitable for use in public or confined spaces.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet (1GBase-T) networks
• AV extension and professional network installations
• Structured cabling meeting ISO/IEC 11801
• Public buildings and other areas requiring low-smoke, halogen-free materials

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.6 (S/FTP / SSTP / S/FTP PIMF)
• Bandwidth / frequency: up to 250 MHz
• Length: 20 m
• Connector contacts: gold plated
• Sheath: halogen-free (LSZH), colour: grey
• Standards: ISO/IEC 11801; supports up to 1GBase-T

How to use

Route the Lindy Cat.6 S/FTP cable between network devices, ensuring connectors are fully inserted into RJ45 sockets until the latch clicks. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius and do not exceed the cable’s tensile limits. For permanent installations, secure the cable along trays or conduits and terminate or test according to your network’s cabling standards.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat.6 S/FTP cable for Gigabit Ethernet and AV extension runs up to its specified length, keep separation from strong power sources to minimise interference, and perform a cable certification test after installation to verify continuity, shielding and performance.
