SHIVERPEAKS BS08-40031 Cat8 S/FTP netwerkkabel, RJ45, 2 m, blauw, 40 Gbit/s, 2000 MHz

High-performance Cat8 network cable engineered for 40 Gigabit Ethernet over short distances. The SHIVERPEAKS BS08-40031 delivers a maximum data transfer rate of 40 Gbit/s and a bandwidth of 2000 MHz, making it ideal for data centers and high-speed server connections. Its S/FTP shielding (individually foil-shielded pairs plus overall braid) ensures superior protection against electromagnetic interference, while gold-plated RJ45 connectors guarantee reliable, corrosion-resistant connections.

Advantages

This cable supports Power over Ethernet up to PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt), allowing both data and power over a single cable. The stranded copper conductors provide flexibility for patch panel use, and the blue jacket aids in color-coding network segments. With a length of 2 meters, it is perfect for connecting servers, switches, and patch panels in high-density environments.

Suitable for

• Data centers and server rooms requiring 25/40GBase-T connectivity
• High-speed workstation connections where low latency is critical
• PoE applications such as IP cameras, access points, and VoIP phones
• Network administrators needing reliable, future-proof cabling

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use with Cat8-compatible equipment and avoid bending beyond the minimum bend radius (typically 4x cable diameter). This cable is backward compatible with Cat7, Cat6a, Cat6, and Cat5e networks, but speeds will be limited by the lowest category component.
