Lindy 45981 Netwerkkabel geel 1 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy 45981 is a 1 m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable designed for Ethernet up to 1GBase-T and operating frequencies up to 250 MHz. The cable features gold-plated RJ-45 contacts, a snagless strain relief design, and an LSZH (halogen-free) sheath. It is manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and supplied individually in a polybag.

Advantages

This Cat6 S/FTP cable provides shielding with an overall braid and foil shields around each twisted pair to reduce electromagnetic interference, supporting reliable Gigabit Ethernet performance. Gold-plated contacts offer corrosion resistance and stable connections over time, while the snagless connector design protects the latch during installation and removal. The LSZH jacket limits smoke and eliminates halogen emissions, making the cable suitable for use in public spaces.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet (1GBase-T) networks
• AV extension and professional network installations
• Environments requiring low-smoke, halogen-free cabling

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat6 (ISO/IEC 11801)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil for each pair)
• Bandwidth: up to 250 MHz
• Data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Cable length: 1 m
• Sheath: LSZH (halogen-free)
• Colour: Yellow

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to a network device (router, switch, PC, AV equipment) and the other end to the corresponding port on the partner device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable without sharp bends and avoid crushing or tight kinks to preserve shielding and signal integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for in-building horizontal runs and AV setups where Gigabit throughput and reduced interference are required; avoid permanent outdoor exposure and installation in conduits with high mechanical stress.
