Lindy 47154 Netwerkkabel blauw 15 m Cat6a S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy 47154 RJ-45 Cat6a 15 m Blue networking cable is a 15 metre Ethernet cable designed to meet Cat6a performance requirements. It features S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for reliable contact and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for 10/100/1000Base-T(X) networks with data transfer rates up to 1000 Mbit/s. The cable's blue jacket provides clear visual identification in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides enhanced protection against crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure stable contact over repeated insertions and resist oxidative degradation. The 15 m length supports flexible device placement without intermediate couplers, while Cat6a specification ensures compatibility with Gigabit Ethernet links.

Key specifications

• Cable length: 15 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair)
• Maximum indicated data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s
• Colour: Blue

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network port of your router, switch or wall outlet and the other RJ-45 plug to your device's Ethernet port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure a reliable connection. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and high-interference sources where possible; keep a gentle bend radius to preserve internal twisting and shielding. For permanent installations, use appropriate cable management such as clips or cable trays to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to power lines or large electrical equipment. If longer runs or higher-than-Gigabit throughput are required, consider verifying end-to-end network requirements and using cables and equipment rated accordingly.
