Lindy 47794 Netwerkkabel wit 2 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy Rj45/Rj45 Cat6 2m networking cable is a shielded S/FTP Cat6 patch cable designed for reliable wired connections in home and office environments. It features gold-plated RJ-45 connectors and a 2 metre length in white finish. The cable supports standard Gigabit Ethernet cabling technologies and is suitable for high-speed data transfer up to multi-gigabit rates when used within its category limits.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding around the cable pairs reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple networked devices or near electrical installations. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provide consistent contact resistance and corrosion resistance for long-term reliability. The 2 m length offers flexibility for desk-to-switch or patch-panel connections while keeping cable runs tidy. The white jacket provides a discreet appearance for residential or office cable routing.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops or network printers to switches or wall sockets
• Patch panel or switch-to-switch short runs in office racks
• Home network connections for streaming, online gaming and large file transfer
• Temporary setups at events or meeting rooms requiring reliable wired Ethernet

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6 (S/FTP shielding)
• Length: 2 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Colour: White

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port until it clicks into place. Use one end to connect the device (PC, printer, console) and the other end to a network switch, router, or wall socket. Ensure connectors are fully seated and that the cable is routed without sharp bends or pinch points. For longer-term installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management to avoid strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable away from strong electrical noise sources and avoid running it in parallel with mains power lines. When used within Cat6 performance limits, the cable supports high-throughput applications; for distances beyond typical horizontal runs or for future-proofing to higher bandwidths, consider higher-category or fibre solutions.
