Lindy 48185 netwerkkabel rood 5 m Cat6 U/UTP (UTP)

The Lindy RJ-45/RJ-45 Cat6 5m Red networking cable is a 5-metre U/UTP Cat6 patch cable with factory-fitted RJ-45 connectors at both ends. Designed for 10/100/1000Base-T(X) environments, it supports gigabit Ethernet connections and offers reliable signal transmission for home, office, and data centre cabling. The cable’s red jacket provides easy visual identification in structured cabling systems and helps separate network segments or highlight critical links.

Advantages

This Cat6 cable uses U/UTP shielding to maintain signal integrity while remaining flexible enough for typical patching applications. With gold-plated RJ-45 terminations and consistent impedance control it reduces crosstalk and insertion loss across the rated bandwidth. The 5 m length is practical for desk-to-switch connections and row-level patching, and the coloured outer sheath simplifies cable management and troubleshooting.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches and routers in home and office networks
• Patch-panel to switch connections in small server rooms and comms cabinets
• Temporary or permanent workstation cabling where a visible cable colour is preferred

Key specifications

• Length: 5 m
• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding type: U/UTP
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Data rates: suitable for 10/100/1000Base-T(X) gigabit Ethernet
• Colour: Red

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port on network devices until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of electrical interference and use cable ties or organisers to secure lengths and maintain a neat installation. For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines for extended distances.

Recommendations

Use the red Lindy Cat6 cable for visible segment identification and routine patching tasks. For long runs between floors or across building sections, consider using permanently installed full-shielded or fibre solutions; for typical desk-to-switch connections the 5 m Cat6 U/UTP cable provides a balanced combination of performance and flexibility.
