Lindy LC/SC 2m InfiniBand/glasvezelkabel veelkleurig, oranje

The Lindy LC/SC 2m Fibre Optic Cable is a 2-metre multimode cable designed for reliable, high-speed data transmission in network environments. It uses OM2 fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and terminated with an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other, supporting full duplex communication. The cable's multicolour design aids visual identification in cable runs while keeping signal integrity for short to medium distance links.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable delivers consistent multimode performance with an OM2 core, providing low attenuation and stable bandwidth for LAN and data centre interconnects. The LC and SC connectors provide secure, low-loss connections compatible with common networking equipment. Its 2 m length balances reach and manageability in rack or patch panel installations. The multicolour jacket improves cable management and simplifies identification among multiple runs.

Suitable for

• Patching between switches, transceivers and patch panels in local area networks
• Short to medium distance multimode links in campus and office environments
• Connecting optical transceivers (LC) to equipment with SC ports
• Organized cable runs where colour-coding speeds identification

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM2
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector A: LC (single or duplex, as applicable for full duplex)
• Connector B: SC
• Length: 2 m
• Duplex: Full duplex support
• Jacket: Multicolour for easy identification

How to use

Identify the LC and SC ends and align connectors with the corresponding ports on your devices. Insert the LC connector into the LC transceiver or port and the SC connector into the SC receptacle until a positive click or snug fit is felt. Ensure both ends are clean and free from dust before mating to prevent signal loss; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension, and secure it with cable management accessories as required.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep bend radius within manufacturer guidelines, clean connector end-faces before installation, and avoid kinking or crushing the cable. Use the multicolour jacket to label and document connections in patch panels and racks for easier maintenance and troubleshooting.
