Studiomicrofoon Blue Microphones Ember

Ember brings Blue's studio-quality sound into a compact side-address microphone designed for voice recording and streaming. It features a custom Blue condenser capsule that delivers open, accurate audio with notable headroom, and a focused cardioid pickup pattern that reduces ambient room noise. The compact form factor keeps a low profile on camera while fitting easily into small creative spaces.

Advantages

Compact side-address design suitable for desktop setups and on-camera use. Custom Blue condenser capsule provides clear, accurate sound reproduction with wide dynamic headroom. Cardioid polar pattern minimizes room reflections and background noise for focused voice capture. Low-profile appearance integrates unobtrusively into streaming and recording environments.

Key specifications

• Microphone type: condenser with custom Blue capsule
• Polar pattern: cardioid (focused pickup)
• Form factor: compact, side-address
• Primary use: voice recording and streaming

How to use

Position the Ember as a side-address microphone so the capsule faces the sound source. Place it close enough for clear voice capture while allowing some distance to preserve natural dynamics and headroom; adjust distance to manage plosives and volume. Use the cardioid front orientation to point away from unwanted noise sources and position in a quiet area or with basic room treatment to further reduce reflections.

Recommendations

For best results, pair Ember with a stable desk stand or boom arm, use a pop filter to reduce plosives, and monitor levels while recording to take advantage of the microphone's headroom and clarity.
