Luchtkoeler Thermalright Assassin Spirit 120 Vision ARGB 12 cm zwart

The Thermalright Assassin Spirit 120 Vision ARGB 12 cm Black is a compact air cooler designed for mainstream desktop processors. It combines a 120 mm fan with a fluid dynamic bearing to reduce noise while maintaining steady airflow. With a maximum air pressure of 1.53 mmH2O and a streamlined black cooler body, this unit targets reliable heat dissipation in constrained spaces and adds addressable RGB lighting for customizable system appearance.

Advantages

The ARGB-equipped fan provides customizable lighting while the fluid dynamic bearing ensures reduced mechanical noise and extended fan life. The cooler's 120 mm fan size and optimized airflow profile deliver balanced cooling performance suitable for many CPU loads without requiring a large heatsink footprint. Its black finish integrates with a wide range of build aesthetics and the mounting support covers current mainstream sockets, allowing relatively straightforward installation across multiple platforms.

Suitable for

• Compact and mid-tower gaming builds where space is limited
• Mainstream desktop systems requiring quiet cooling
• PC enthusiasts who want basic ARGB lighting without large air coolers
• Upgrades for systems using supported CPU sockets

How to use

Prepare the motherboard by removing the existing cooler and cleaning the CPU surface. Apply a thin, even layer of thermal paste to the CPU heat spreader. Align the cooler's mounting bracket with the motherboard mounting points for the target socket and secure it according to the included mounting instructions. Connect the fan power cable to a CPU fan or system fan header and the ARGB cable to a compatible ARGB controller or motherboard header to enable lighting control. Verify fan rotation and monitor CPU temperatures during initial operation to ensure proper contact and cooling performance.

Recommendations

Use a quality thermal paste and tighten mounting hardware evenly to avoid uneven pressure. Ensure adequate case airflow by arranging intake and exhaust fans to complement the Assassin Spirit 120 Vision ARGB; clean the fan and heatsink regularly to maintain thermal efficiency and reduce noise over time.
