Luidspreker Tannoy PCI 7DC IW 7 inch 100W

The Tannoy PCI 7DC IW 7" 100W is an in-wall speaker engineered for fixed installations where discreet appearance and reliable audio performance are required. This 7-inch unit features a dual concentric driver that combines mid/bass and high-frequency sources on a single axis to improve phase coherence and provide clear reproduction for both music and spoken word. With a nominal power handling of 100 W, the speaker is intended for background and foreground audio in commercial or residential settings while maintaining a slim profile for near-flush installation.

Advantages

The dual concentric design delivers coherent sound from a single point source, improving imaging and reducing lobing compared with separate coaxial arrangements. A 7" driver provides extended midrange and controlled bass for balanced tonal response, while the integrated high-frequency unit offers clarity and intelligibility at typical listening distances. The in-wall format reduces visual impact and saves space, and the speaker is built for installation durability and consistent performance in distributed audio systems.

Suitable for

• Background music in hospitality and retail environments
• Speech reinforcement in meeting rooms, corridors, and public areas
• Distributed multiroom audio in residential installations
• Fixed installations in offices, classrooms, and reception areas

Key specifications

• Driver configuration: dual concentric 7" mid/bass with integrated high-frequency unit
• Power handling: 100 W nominal
• Installation type: in-wall, near-flush mounting
• Dispersion: wide, designed for even coverage in installed environments
• Frequency response: tuned for balanced music and speech reproduction

How to use

Install the speaker into a standard in-wall cavity following local building and electrical regulations, ensuring secure mounting and proper backbox or cavity treatment where required. Connect to a compatible amplifier or distributed audio system using appropriate gauge speaker cable and observe correct polarity. Positioning within the room should consider ear height for primary listening zones and avoid obstructing the front baffle. After installation, perform level matching and basic equalization from the amplifier or system processor to integrate the speaker with other system elements.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the speaker in installations driven by amplifiers that match the 100 W nominal handling and provide stable damping. In environments requiring extended low-frequency output, supplement with dedicated subwoofers. Regular inspection of mounting and wiring during maintenance cycles will help ensure long-term reliability.
