Tannoy PCI 6DC 6 inch premium 100W luidspreker

The Tannoy PCI 6DC 6" Premium 100W is a 6-inch in-wall speaker engineered for fixed installations in residential and commercial environments. Its concentric driver design combines a coaxially mounted tweeter and mid/bass driver to provide coherent phase response and wide, even sound dispersion from within a slim, flush-mounted enclosure. Rated for 100 watts nominal power handling, the speaker is intended for background music, foreground audio and distributed sound systems where compact appearance and reliable performance are required.

Advantages

The concentric driver offers improved acoustic alignment between high and mid frequencies, resulting in consistent imaging and reduced off-axis anomalies. The in-wall form factor allows for discreet integration into ceilings or walls, saving visible space while preserving room aesthetics. Designed for installation use, the speaker provides robust power handling and stable performance across a range of listening levels. The overall construction focuses on durability and serviceability to suit long-term fixed installations.

Suitable for

• Background music and zoned audio in homes
• Retail and hospitality premises requiring discreet ceiling or wall speakers
• Conference rooms and meeting spaces for spoken word and presentations
• Distributed audio systems in commercial buildings

Key specifications

• Driver configuration: concentric (coaxial) tweeter and mid/bass
• Nominal power handling: 100 W
• Speaker size: 6-inch mid/bass driver
• Installation type: in-wall / in-ceiling flush-mount
• Acoustic coverage: designed for wide dispersion
• Finish and grille: low-profile flush appearance for unobtrusive installation

How to use

Install the speaker in a suitable cut-out in a wall or ceiling following the mounting template and instructions provided by the manufacturer. Connect the speaker to an appropriate amplifier or distribution system matched to its nominal power and impedance, observing correct polarity. Adjust system levels and equalization from the amplifier or processor to match room acoustics and desired coverage. For best results, position multiple speakers to provide even coverage and avoid placing a single speaker where directivity limitations may affect intelligibility.

Recommendations

Use with an amplifier or distributed audio system that provides clean power within the speaker's rated handling, and apply room EQ if required to optimize speech intelligibility and tonal balance. For permanent installations, secure speaker mounting and proper cable routing to maintain long-term reliability.
