Luidsprekerkabel ShiverPeaks 06-18106, 1,5 mm² doorsnede, 25 m lengte

Speaker cable ShiverPeaks 06-18106 is a 25 m long audio cable with a 1.5 mm² conductor cross-section designed for connecting loudspeakers to amplifiers or receivers. The cable features a copper-clad aluminium conductor construction that provides a balance between conductivity and flexibility for installations in homes, small venues and portable systems. Its single-pair, unshielded design allows straightforward speaker-to-amp wiring over moderate distances while maintaining reliable signal transfer for typical Hi‑Fi and PA setups.

Advantages

This speaker cable combines a 1.5 mm² conductor cross-section with a 25 m length to support common domestic and small commercial audio connections. The conductor construction offers good flexibility for routing through furniture or cable channels. The cable’s consistent dimensions and insulation ensure easy stripping and termination with common speaker connectors or screw terminals. It is suitable where a practical, cost-effective connection is required without complex shielding or heavy-gauge conductors.

Suitable for

• Connecting bookshelf, floorstanding or satellite loudspeakers to home amplifiers and receivers
• Small PA setups and background music systems in cafes or meeting rooms
• Temporary or semi-permanent installations where moderate cable length and flexibility are needed

Key specifications

• Conductor cross-section: 1.5 mm²
• Length: 25 m
• Conductor type: copper-clad aluminium (CCA)
• Construction: multi-strand conductor for improved flexibility
• Insulation: PVC outer sheath (single-pair, unshielded)
• Colour: white

How to use

Measure the required run length and allow extra cable for routing and strain relief. Strip an appropriate length of the outer insulation to expose the conductor strands, taking care not to damage the strands. Twist the exposed strands and terminate with suitable connectors — banana plugs, spade lugs or bare wire under screw terminals — according to the amplifier and speaker terminals. Observe correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative) and avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable. For fixed installations, secure the cable with clips or cable ties at regular intervals to prevent movement and wear.

Recommendations

For best audio performance in home Hi‑Fi and small PA systems, keep speaker runs as short as practical, ensure correct polarity, and use clean, secure terminations. Avoid routing speaker cable alongside mains power cables to reduce potential interference, and choose a thicker cross-section if longer runs or higher power handling are required.
