Luidsprekerkabel ShiverPeaks 06-210711 2,5 mm² 10 m, twin-core-audiokabel voor luidsprekers

ShiverPeaks 06-210711 speaker cable is a 10 m twin-core audio cable with 2.5 mm² cross-sectional area per conductor, designed for connecting loudspeakers to amplifiers and receivers. The cable combines sufficient conductor cross-section for short to medium runs with a flexible jacket that facilitates routing along walls, behind furniture or through conduits. Its twin-core construction provides clear left/right channel separation and straightforward connection to binding posts, spring clips or banana plugs.

Advantages

The cable offers a balanced combination of conductivity and flexibility suitable for home audio and hi‑fi setups. A 2.5 mm² conductor area supports reliable signal transfer over typical room distances while remaining easy to handle during installation. The twin-core format simplifies polarity identification and reduces the risk of accidental shorting during termination. The transparent jacket aids visual inspection of conductors and makes it easier to follow routing paths in installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting bookshelf or floor-standing loudspeakers to stereo amplifiers and AV receivers
• Left and right speaker runs in home audio and hi‑fi systems
• Short to medium in-room cable routes, including wall or floor coaxing and conduit paths
• Small installations in living rooms, bedrooms or dedicated listening areas

Key specifications

• Length: 10 metres
• Conductor cross-section: 2.5 mm² per conductor
• Construction: twin-core speaker cable
• Conductor type: stranded conductor suitable for audio connections
• Jacket: flexible transparent outer sheath for routing and inspection

How to use

Strip an appropriate length of the outer jacket to expose the individual conductors, taking care not to nick the strands. Identify polarity on each core and connect the positive and negative conductors to the corresponding amplifier and speaker terminals. For reliable contacts use banana plugs, spade lugs or secure screw terminals depending on the terminal type. Route the cable along walls or through conduits, avoiding tight bends and sharp edges to preserve conductor integrity. If longer runs or in-wall installation is required, verify local building codes and consider cable rated for permanent in-wall use.

Recommendations

For best results keep run lengths moderate (typical room distances) and maintain consistent polarity throughout the installation. When terminating, use ferrules or proper speaker connectors to ensure secure, low-resistance contacts and minimize oxidation over time.
