Luidsprekerkabel ShiverPeaks 2,5 mm² (50×0,25) CCA, rood/zwart, spoel van 100 m

ShiverPeaks speaker cable 2.5 mm² (50×0.25) CCA on a 100 m reel is intended for wiring loudspeakers and audio systems where copper-clad aluminum conductors are acceptable. The twin conductor is marked red/black for clear polarity identification and is supplied on a full 100 metre reel to simplify long runs and installations in homes, commercial spaces or custom audio projects.

Advantages

The cable combines a 2.5 mm² cross-sectional area with a 50×0.25 strand construction of copper‑clad aluminium (CCA) to offer a balance of conductivity and reduced weight compared with solid copper. Red/black polarity marking along the length ensures straightforward identification during installation. The 100 m reel format reduces the need for multiple joins on long runs and facilitates neat deployment in ducts or along skirting boards.

Suitable for

• Home stereo and multiroom speaker wiring
• Commercial audio installations and background music systems
• Long cable runs where cost-effective CCA conductors are specified
• Temporary or semi-permanent audio setups for events and presentations

Key specifications

• Conductor type: copper‑clad aluminium (CCA)
• Cross-sectional area: 2.5 mm²
• Stranding: 50 strands × 0.25 mm
• Polarity marking: red and black conductors
• Length: 100 m reel

How to use

Cut required lengths from the 100 m reel and strip insulation to expose conductors for termination. Maintain correct polarity using the red and black markings to avoid phase reversal between amplifier and speakers. Route the cable along walls, through conduits or within cable trays keeping it away from mains power cables where possible to minimise interference. Use appropriate connectors, banana plugs, spade lugs or screw terminals suitable for CCA conductors and ensure mechanical strain relief at connection points.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, verify that the audio system tolerates CCA conductors and keep run lengths reasonable for the chosen speaker impedance. Avoid excessive bending radius and secure the cable to prevent movement. When terminating, ensure tight, corrosion‑free connections and consider using contact treatments or specialized terminals rated for CCA if long-term reliability is required.
