Luidsprekerkabel-verlenging ShiverPeaks PV4, 4 mm², 2-delige set rood/zwart, 5 m

ShiverPeaks PV4 speaker cable extension set includes two 5 m leads in red and black with a conductor cross-section of 4 mm². The pair is designed to extend loudspeaker connections in home or professional audio setups, provide clear polarity identification and accommodate medium-power speaker systems. The flexible PVC jacket and copper conductors allow straightforward routing and termination for temporary or permanent installations.

Advantages

The two-colour design ensures quick identification of positive and negative channels, reducing installation errors. A 4 mm² conductor cross-section offers low resistance for better power transfer compared with thinner cable, making it suitable for medium-power speakers. The 5 m length of each lead balances reach and manageability for typical room layouts and audio racks.

Suitable for

• Extending speaker runs in living rooms, studios, rehearsal spaces or venues
• Replacing damaged sections of existing speaker cable
• Connecting bookshelf, floorstanding or small PA speakers within 5 m
• Temporary setups for events or testing speaker placement

Key specifications

• Conductor cross-section: 4 mm²
• Length: 5 m per lead (two leads: red and black)
• Conductor material: stranded copper
• Insulation/jacket material: flexible PVC
• Colour: one red lead and one black lead for polarity identification

How to use

Cut or strip the cable ends to the required length and prepare conductors for termination with banana plugs, spade lugs, or bare-wire connections as appropriate for your amplifier and speakers. Ensure correct polarity by matching red to the amplifier/speaker positive terminal and black to the negative terminal. Route the cables to avoid tight bends and protect them from pinch points; secure with cable ties or clips where needed.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the ShiverPeaks PV4 extension with medium-power speakers and avoid running speaker cable parallel to mains power runs to reduce interference. If the installation requires longer runs or higher power handling, consider a larger conductor cross-section. Periodically inspect terminations for secure connections and replace cable if insulation is damaged.
