The EnGenius Fit Managed Switch EWS2910P-FIT is an 8-port Gigabit PoE Layer 2+ switch with a 55 W PoE budget and two SFP uplink ports. Designed for small business networks, it supports multiple management modes including cloud and on-premises management, and provides business-class switching features for secure and reliable network operation.

Advantages

The Fit Managed Switch offers eight Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE support, a total PoE budget of 55 W, and two SFP uplinks for flexible connectivity. As a managed Layer 2+ switch it includes VLAN, 802.1x, and link aggregation support, plus an 8K MAC address table and a 20 Gbit/s switching capacity for efficient traffic handling. Multiple management options let administrators choose cloud or local control to match operational needs.

Suitable for

Small office networks requiring PoE for IP phones, wireless access points or cameras
Environments needing managed Layer 2 features such as VLANs and link aggregation
Deployments that benefit from both local and cloud-based management

Key specifications

Model: EWS2910P-FIT
Ports: 8 x Gigabit RJ-45 (10/100/1000) with PoE
PoE budget: 55 W total
Uplinks: 2 x SFP ports
Switching capacity: 20 Gbit/s
MAC address table: 8,000 entries
Managed: Layer 2+
Standards: IEEE 802.3af, 802.1x, 802.1Q, 802.3ad, IEEE 802.3 family
Colour: Black
Weight: 0.62 kg

How to use

Install the switch in a suitable rack or on a flat surface and connect power. Use the Gigabit RJ-45 ports to attach switches, access points, IP phones or cameras and connect uplinks via the SFP ports to the core network. Configure management settings using the chosen management mode (cloud portal or on-premises interface) to set VLANs, PoE priorities and security policies. Verify link status and PoE delivery through the management interface.

Recommendations

For stable PoE operation, ensure the total PoE power draw of connected devices does not exceed the 55 W budget. Assign VLANs and enable 802.1x where appropriate to segment traffic and enhance network security. Use SFP uplinks for fiber connections or longer-distance links to the network core.
