PLANET IGS-5225-8P2T4S is an IP30 rugged metal industrial managed PoE+ switch with 8 10/100/1000BASE-T 802.3at PoE+ ports (up to 36 W per port), two 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, two 100/1000BASE-X SFP ports and two 100/1000/2500BASE-X SFP ports. Designed for harsh environments, it supports IPv4/IPv6 management, L2/L4 switching functions, Layer 3 static routing, ITU‑G.8032 ERPS ring protection and PLANET intelligent PoE features. The switch operates reliably from -40 to 75 °C and provides a total PoE budget of 240 W.

How to use

Install the switch in a suitable industrial location using the recommended wall or DIN mounting. Connect DC power (48–56 V) to the redundant power inputs, connect uplink and SFP transceivers as required, and attach PoE devices to the PoE+ RJ‑45 ports. Access the management interface through the web GUI, CLI (console/Telnet) or SNMPv3 for configuration of VLANs, QoS, ERPS ring topology, PoE scheduling and ONVIF device discovery. Use SFP-DDM diagnostics to monitor fiber transceiver parameters and set PoE schedules or ping‑based alive checks to automate device rebooting when needed.
