Mesh-systeem Cudy AX1800 dualband 2,4 GHz 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6

The Cudy AX1800 Dual-band 2.4 GHz 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 mesh system is a two-unit kit designed to extend and stabilise wireless coverage in homes and small offices. Supporting the Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard, the system provides simultaneous dual‑band operation on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and is equipped with internal antennas. Each unit integrates 32 MB of internal memory and 256 MB of flash memory to handle multiple connected devices and mesh management functions. The compact white enclosures and four internal antennas per unit help deliver consistent signal distribution across larger areas.

Advantages

The mesh kit supports Wi‑Fi 6 for higher throughput and improved multi‑device performance compared with earlier standards, while dual‑band operation allows device separation between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Internal antennas maintain a neat appearance and simplify installation without external aerials. Included in the package are two units for extended coverage and roaming within the same network. The device offers a single Ethernet LAN port per unit for wired connections when needed.

Suitable for

• Homes seeking whole‑house wireless coverage with seamless roaming
• Small offices requiring reliable connectivity for multiple client devices
• Streaming video and online gaming across multiple rooms
• IoT and smart home devices that operate on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands

Key specifications

• Wi‑Fi standard: Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) with backward compatibility to 802.11ac/n/g/b/a
• Frequency bands: Dual‑band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
• Antenna: Internal antennas, total of four per unit
• Memory: 32 MB internal memory and 256 MB flash memory
• Ethernet: 1 RJ‑45 LAN port per unit
• Colour: White

How to use

Place the primary unit near your internet modem and connect it via Ethernet to provide a gateway for the mesh network. Position the satellite unit(s) within range of the primary unit to ensure overlapping coverage in target areas. Power on each unit and follow the Cudy setup process using the vendor app or web interface to create a single SSID for seamless roaming; assign band settings and security options according to your preferences. Use the available Ethernet LAN port for a wired device or for backhaul if required by your network layout.

Recommendations

For best coverage, locate units in open spaces away from large metal objects and thick walls; place one unit centrally and the second toward the far end of the area to be covered. Keep firmware up to date via the device interface to ensure security and performance improvements. Use the 5 GHz band for latency‑sensitive applications like gaming and HD streaming, and the 2.4 GHz band for longer‑range connections and IoT devices.
