Microconnect B-FTP6015O Netwerkkabel oranje 1,5 m Cat6 F/UTP (FTP)

The Microconnect B-FTP6015O is a Cat6 networking cable with a length of 1.5 m and RJ-45 connectors on both ends. It complies with Cat6 standards and is suitable for connecting switches, routers, modems or wall outlets and patch panels in small office, home network and entertainment setups. The cable features F/UTP (B-FTP) shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and supports high data rates up to 10000 Mbit/s while remaining backwards compatible with Cat5e and Cat5.

Advantages

The cable is manufactured with latch protection to prevent connector damage during installation in tight spaces. Its braided/aluminium foil shielding protects against EMI, minimising crosstalk and preserving signal integrity for reliable data transmission. The orange colour improves cable identification in installations. Cat6 testing up to 250 MHz ensures performance consistent with the Cat6 standard.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches, routers and modems
• Patch panel and keystone jack connections
• Small office and home network installations
• Home entertainment systems and media devices

Key specifications

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network device (for example a switch, router or modem) and the other connector into the target device or wall outlet/patch panel. Ensure connectors click into place using the latch protection. Route the cable avoiding tight bends and sources of strong electromagnetic noise. Verify link status on connected devices and perform a network test if needed.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this shielded Cat6 cable in installations where electromagnetic interference is likely (near power lines, transformers or dense cable bundles). Keep cable runs within recommended lengths for specific network standards and avoid excessive bending or crushing of the cable.
