Microconnect KAB028-100 netwerkkabel zwart 100 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

Microconnect KAB028-100 is a Cat6 S/FTP networking cable in black with a length of 100 m. The cable uses AWG 27 CCA conductors and comes with 100M LSA-compatible connector terminations. The jacket is designed to resist UV exposure and water, making the cable suitable for a range of indoor and protected outdoor installations where Cat6 performance is required.

Advantages

The cable combines Cat6 performance with S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and support data rates up to 10000 Mbit/s. AWG 27 CCA conductors provide a cost-effective copper-clad aluminium solution, while the UV- and water-resistant jacket improves durability in exposed environments. Delivered in a 100 m length, it simplifies long runs without the need for frequent joins.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet networks at home
• Office LAN installations
• Structured cabling backbones and horizontal runs
• Areas requiring UV- and water-resistant cable sheathing (protected outdoor routes)

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat6, S/FTP
• Length: 100 m
• Conductor: AWG 27 CCA (copper-clad aluminium)
• Connectors: 100M LSA-compatible terminations (no pre-fitted RJ45 plugs)
• Colour: Black
• Data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Weight: 2.53 kg
• Jacket properties: UV and water resistant

How to use

Measure and plan the cable route before installation to avoid tight bends and excessive tension. Terminate the cable using LSA-compatible tools and 100M LSA blocks or panels as required; this product is supplied without pre-fitted RJ45 plugs. Ensure correct pair untwisting lengths when terminating to maintain Cat6 performance. Route the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference where possible.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use compatible Cat6 components (patch panels, keystone jacks and switches) and avoid prolonged exposure to direct weather without additional protection. Verify grounding and bonding where system shields are used and follow local installation standards for horizontal and backbone cabling.
