Microconnect SSTP602O netwerkkabel oranje 2 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

The Microconnect SSTP602O S/FTP Cat6 networking cable, 2 m, provides a reliable wired connection between network devices such as switches, modems and routers or between devices and structured cabling via patch panels, keystone jacks or wall outlets. This Cat6 cable is tested to 250 MHz, supports data rates up to 10000 Mbit/s and is backwards compatible with Cat5e and Cat5. The cable features S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and an orange jacket for easy identification.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction offers improved protection against EMI and crosstalk, preserving signal integrity and reducing transmission errors. The cable is Cat6-rated (250 MHz) for higher bandwidth and is backward compatible with older standards. A reinforced latch protection on the connectors reduces the risk of damage during installation in tight spaces. The 2 m length and bright orange color simplify routing and identification in office or home installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers or modems to patch panels or wall outlets
• Small office and home network installations
• High-bandwidth applications such as streaming, large file transfers and VoIP

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat6 (tested to 250 MHz)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shield + individually foiled pairs)
• Maximum data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Length: 2 m
• Colour: Orange
• MPN: SSTP602O
• EAN: 5704327713098

How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug of the cable to the network device (switch, router or modem) and the other plug to the target port on a patch panel, keystone jack or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks; the latch protection reduces the chance of connector damage when routing through tight spaces. For best performance, avoid tight bends and keep the cable away from strong sources of EMI where possible.

Recommendations

Use this S/FTP Cat6 cable for installations requiring reduced interference and reliable gigabit or multi-gigabit performance. Choose the 2 m length for short runs between devices and structured outlets; for longer runs use appropriately rated permanent cabling.
