Microfoon Behringer BV-BOMB USB-condensatormicrofoon

The Behringer BV-BOMB USB Condenser Microphone is a USB-connected studio microphone designed for straightforward digital recording. It uses a condenser capsule with a cardioid polar pattern to focus on the main sound source while reducing off-axis noise. The microphone offers a wide frequency response and low self-noise suitable for capturing vocals, acoustic instruments and spoken word with clear detail. Its USB interface provides plug-and-play operation with computers, making it compatible with common recording software and suitable for home studios, streaming and podcasting.

Advantages

The BV-BOMB provides direct digital output via USB, eliminating the need for an external audio interface for most applications. The cardioid pickup pattern helps isolate the intended sound source, improving clarity in untreated rooms. Low self-noise and a broad frequency range support accurate reproduction of voice and instruments. The microphone’s straightforward connectivity and compatibility with standard recording software simplify setup and integration into existing workflows.

Suitable for

• Vocal recording for home and project studios
• Podcasting and voice-over work
• Streaming and content creation
• Recording acoustic instruments and ensembles in close-mic situations

Key specifications

• Transducer type: condenser microphone
• Polar pattern: cardioid
• Connectivity: USB digital output for direct connection to computers
• Frequency response: wide-range response suitable for voice and instrument capture
• Self-noise: designed for low self-noise to preserve detail
• Power: USB-powered operation

How to use

Connect the BV-BOMB to a computer using the supplied USB cable and allow the operating system to recognize the device. Select the microphone as the input source in your recording software or system audio settings. Position the microphone with its front (cardioid axis) facing the sound source at an appropriate distance for the application — closer for warmer vocal presence, slightly farther for a more natural room balance. Adjust input gain in software to avoid clipping while maintaining a healthy signal level. Monitor through headphones or software meters to confirm levels and reduce background noise as needed.

Recommendations

For best results, use the microphone in a quiet environment or with basic acoustic treatment. Employ a pop filter for close vocal work to reduce plosives, and consider a shockmount or isolation stand to limit mechanical noise. When recording instruments, experiment with distance and angle relative to the sound source to find the desired tonal balance.
