Mobiele datacollector CIPHERLAB RS36 2D SE5500 5,5 inch GPS

The CIPHERLAB RS36 2D SE5500 mobile data collector combines a 5.5-inch touchscreen with an integrated SE5500 2D imager and built-in GPS to provide a compact, field-ready device for data capture. Designed for inventory, logistics and asset tracking, the RS36 is intended to gather barcode data and location information reliably during on-the-go workflows. The hardware and imaging components support fast reading of 1D and 2D barcodes and enable mobile workers to capture and transmit data from warehouses, delivery routes or remote sites.

Advantages

The device offers a balance of portability and functionality, with a mid-size touchscreen that supports data entry and visibility while remaining handheld-friendly. The SE5500 2D imager delivers accurate scanning of both printed and digital barcodes, including poor-quality or high-density codes. Built-in GPS provides location context for captured records, useful for route verification and field audits. Rugged construction and a design geared toward field use reduce the risk of downtime in mobile operations.

Suitable for

• Field data capture and asset tracking
• Inventory counting and warehouse cycle counting
• Delivery and route verification
• Logistics and supply chain inspections
• Mobile point-of-service and inspections in the field

Key specifications

• Display: 5.5-inch touchscreen
• Imager: SE5500 2D barcode scanner for 1D and 2D codes
• Positioning: integrated GPS for location-aware workflows
• Form factor: handheld, portable design suitable for field use
• Connectivity: wireless communication capabilities for data transmission (Wi-Fi / cellular options typical for this class)
• Durability: ruggedized build for mobile and industrial environments

How to use

Power on the RS36 and unlock the screen to access the operating interface. Use the touchscreen to navigate applications for inventory, delivery or inspection tasks. Aim the SE5500 imager at barcodes and pull the trigger or tap the on-screen scan control to capture codes; scanned data will appear in the active application field. Ensure the device has a clear view of the sky or a valid satellite signal when GPS location tagging is required, and allow a short time for the receiver to acquire coordinates. Use the built-in wireless options to synchronize collected records with backend systems or cloud services.

Recommendations

For reliable scanning performance, keep the SE5500 imager window clean and avoid scanning through scratched or heavily smudged surfaces. When operating in cold or wet conditions, protect the unit according to the environmental guidelines and ensure batteries are sufficiently charged before extended field shifts. Regularly synchronize and back up collected data to prevent loss and maintain accurate location-tagged records.
