Modulaire koppelingen Digitus CAT 6 afgeschermd

The Modular Couplers Digitus CAT 6 Shielded provide a compact solution for extending patch cables by joining two RJ45 leads. Each coupler contains two shielded RJ45 sockets wired 1:1 with gold‑plated contacts to maintain signal integrity and reduce connection loss. The nickel-coloured housing and shielded design make it suitable for installations where reliable, high-speed CAT 6 performance is required.

Advantages

Shielded RJ45 sockets improve electromagnetic protection and help maintain data transmission quality in environments with potential interference. Gold-plated contacts ensure consistent conductivity and resist corrosion, while the coupler design supports many mating cycles for long operational life. The compact form factor allows quick, tool-free extension of patch cables.

Suitable for

• Extending Ethernet patch cables in home or office networks
• Temporary network joins during installations or re-cabling
• Cat 6 structured cabling where shielded connections are required

Key specifications

• Type: Modular CAT 6 coupler
• Connector: 2 × shielded RJ45 sockets, 1:1 wiring
• Contacts: Gold-plated
• Colour: Nickel
• Brand: DIGITUS, MPN: AT-AG 8/8 C6S, EAN: 4016032229032

How to use

Insert the RJ45 plug of each patch cable into the corresponding socket of the coupler until it clicks. Ensure the plugs are fully seated to establish a secure 1:1 connection. The shielded coupling requires that connected cables or plugs with shields are properly grounded to maintain full EMI protection.

Recommendations

For best performance, use with Cat 6 or higher shielded patch cables and maintain proper grounding of the cable shields. Avoid bending or stressing the cable near the connector to preserve contact integrity and prolong the coupler's service life.
