Mono 6,3 mm jackstekker ShiverPeaks 22220505 met kunststof behuizing

The Mono 6.3 mm Jack Plug ShiverPeaks 22220505 with Plastic Housing is a single-channel audio connector designed for 6.3 mm (1/4") jacks. It provides a compact, insulated termination for instrument cables, speaker leads and other audio interconnects where a mono signal is required. The plastic housing offers electrical insulation and basic strain relief while keeping the connector lightweight and easy to handle.

Advantages

The connector delivers a reliable mechanical and electrical connection for mono audio signals and is simple to solder or fit to cable conductors. Its plastic housing reduces weight and provides insulation, helping to prevent short circuits and accidental contact. The straightforward two-contact design makes the plug suitable for quick repair or assembly tasks and enables consistent signal transmission in domestic and semi-professional audio setups.

Suitable for

• Instrument cables for electric guitars, basses and keyboards
• Connection of mono audio equipment and amplifiers
• Repairing or assembling audio leads and patch cables
• DIY audio projects and prototyping

Key specifications

• Contact type: mono (tip and sleeve, two-contact)
• Plug diameter: 6.3 mm (1/4")
• Housing material: plastic (insulated housing)
• Termination: solderable contacts for cable conductors
• Typical applications: instrument and audio interconnects

How to use

Strip the cable jacket and separate the conductor(s) according to the connector layout. Insert the conductors into the solder points or clamp area provided by the plug and perform soldering or mechanical fastening as specified for the model. Ensure the insulated housing is positioned correctly to provide strain relief before final assembly. After assembly, test continuity and signal routing to confirm correct wiring and secure contact.

Recommendations

Use with cables of appropriate diameter and conductor type to ensure reliable solder joints and mechanical fit. Avoid excessive bending or pulling at the cable-connector junction and check connections periodically if used in high-traffic or stage environments.
