Netwerk kabel Eigenbrand shiverpeaks BASIC-S Cat7 S/FTP (S-STP) 2 m, RJ-45, gold-plated contacts, zwart

Shielded networking cable Eigenbrand shiverpeaks BASIC-S, 2 m length, conforms to the Cat7 standard and uses S/FTP (S-STP) shielding to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. The cable is terminated with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends and features gold-plated contacts to ensure stable connections and consistent signal transfer in high-speed Ethernet environments. The black jacket provides a discreet look suitable for professional and home installations.

Advantages

The S/FTP (S-STP) construction combines overall foil shielding with individually shielded pairs to minimise near-end and far-end crosstalk and improve immunity to external electromagnetic noise. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve corrosion resistance and contact reliability over time. With a 2 m length, the cable offers a convenient reach for connecting devices within racks, between wall outlets and switches, or linking routers and patch panels without excess slack.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet connections (up to Cat7 performance)
• Home and small office networks
• Connections between switches, routers and patch panels
• Environments requiring improved shielding against EMI

Key specifications

• Length: 2 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 male to RJ-45 male
• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: black

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port until an audible click confirms engagement. Ensure the cable is not sharply bent near connectors and avoid routing it close to high-power electrical cables or devices that generate strong electromagnetic fields. For best performance, keep the cable untwisted beyond the connector boot and avoid excessive pulling force during installation.

Recommendations

Use this Cat7 S/FTP cable for short to medium length connections where shielding matters — for example in setups near electrical equipment, in server cabinets, or between wall outlets and network devices. Regularly inspect connector contacts and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible wear.
