Netwerk-videorecorder Hikvision DS-7608NXI-K2/8P(D) 8-kanaals PoE, 4K-ondersteuning

Hikvision DS-7608NXI-K2/8P(D) is an 8-channel network video recorder with integrated PoE ports and support for up to 4K resolution recording. Designed for small and medium surveillance systems, the unit centralizes video storage and camera management while providing continuous and event-triggered recording modes. The recorder supports simplified IP camera installation using PoE, reducing the need for separate power supplies and cabling complexity.

Advantages

The recorder combines eight PoE-enabled network interfaces with 4K-capable recording to handle high-resolution streams from multiple cameras simultaneously. It offers centralized device management, flexible recording schedules, and a user interface suited for on-site and remote monitoring. Built-in PoE reduces installation effort and cost by supplying power directly to compatible IP cameras, while the device’s processing capability supports reliable playback and multi-channel live view.

Suitable for

• Small business premises with up to eight IP cameras
• Retail stores and offices requiring 24/7 or event-based recording
• Residential properties with multi-camera coverage and remote access needs
• Installation sites where PoE simplifies cabling and power management

Key specifications

• Channel count: 8 network channels with built-in PoE ports
• Maximum supported camera resolution: up to 4K for recording and playback
• Recording modes: continuous, scheduled, and event-triggered recording
• Remote access: web interface and mobile app compatibility for live view and playback
• Storage: internal hard drive support (capacity depends on installed drives)
• Network features: centralized camera management and multi-channel streaming

How to use

Install the recorder in a suitable indoor location with adequate ventilation. Connect IP cameras directly to the PoE ports on the rear panel to provide power and data over a single Ethernet cable. Configure network settings to integrate the recorder into the local network, then use the on-screen setup wizard or web interface to add and configure connected cameras, set recording schedules, and define event triggers such as motion detection or alarm inputs. Verify recording and playback functionality and set up remote access through the manufacturer’s client software or mobile application if remote monitoring is required.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, use quality shielded Ethernet cables and ensure the recorder is placed on a stable, ventilated surface. Choose hard drive models specified for surveillance use and configure proper overwrite settings to maintain continuous recording. When deploying high-resolution 4K streams, check network bandwidth and storage allocation to avoid performance bottlenecks. Keep firmware up to date and follow local regulations for video recording and data privacy.
