Netwerkcamera Hikvision DS-2CD2346G2H-I 4MP vaste turret, 2,8mm lens

Hikvision DS-2CD2346G2H-I is a 4MP network fixed-turret camera with a 2.8mm lens designed for continuous video monitoring. The compact turret form factor and fixed 2.8mm lens provide a wide-angle field of view and high-resolution image capture for indoor and sheltered outdoor locations. The camera integrates with IP networks for live viewing and recording, supporting typical surveillance setups in offices, retail environments and residential properties.

Advantages

The camera offers 4MP resolution for clearer detail compared to standard 1080p models, allowing more reliable identification and evidence capture. A 2.8mm fixed lens provides a broad coverage area while maintaining consistent focus and minimal maintenance. The turret design simplifies installation on walls or ceilings, and network connectivity enables remote access, centralized recording and integration with common VMS or NVR systems. The product is engineered for continuous operation and modest environmental protection suitable for sheltered outdoor use.

Suitable for

• Office corridors and reception areas
• Retail shops and point-of-sale monitoring
• Residential common areas, entrances and garages
• Small warehouses and storage rooms with network infrastructure

How to use

Install the camera on a stable surface such as a wall or ceiling using the included mounting hardware, positioning the 2.8mm lens to cover the desired area. Connect the device to the IP network using an Ethernet cable; power can be provided via Power over Ethernet (PoE) if supported by the network switch or through a compatible power adapter. Configure network settings and access permissions through the camera’s web interface or via a network video recorder (NVR) or video management software. Adjust image settings such as exposure and WDR as needed for the scene, and verify remote viewing on desktop and mobile clients.

Recommendations

For best results, mount the camera at a height that balances field of view and identification needs (typically 2.5–4 m for indoor public areas). Ensure the camera is protected from direct rain and strong backlight; use appropriate lighting or configure day/night and exposure settings for areas with variable illumination. Regularly check firmware updates and integrate the camera into a managed recording solution to ensure continuous storage and centralized management.
