Netwerkkabel BlueOptics CBL-NTWK-0988-Q28M2-BL QSFP28 4xSFP28 2m zwart

The BlueOptics CBL-NTWK-0988-Q28M2-BL QSFP28 4xSFP28 2m Black is a 2-meter high-speed network cable that converts a single QSFP28 port into four SFP28 ports. Designed for InfiniBand and fibre optic environments, this male-to-male cable supports high-bandwidth links and low-latency transmission between switches, servers and high-performance networking equipment. The black jacket and compact construction make it suitable for organized racks and dense cabling runs.

Advantages

This cable provides a practical breakout solution that enables four separate 25 Gb/s SFP28 connections from a single 100 Gb/s QSFP28 interface, simplifying upgrades and port consolidation without additional adapters. Its 2 m length offers flexibility for typical rack-to-rack and device-to-switch connections while keeping signal integrity. The product is lightweight and features a durable outer sheath for stable mechanical performance in data centre environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting a QSFP28 switch port to multiple SFP28 server or storage ports
• Data centre aggregation and top-of-rack deployments
• High-performance computing (HPC) clusters and InfiniBand networks
• Environments requiring low-latency, high-bandwidth links

Key specifications

• Cable length: 2 m
• Connector configuration: one QSFP28 to four SFP28
• Suitable signal types: InfiniBand and fibre optic high-speed links
• Intended use: male-to-male direct cable connection
• Colour: black
• Weight: approximately 0.25 kg

How to use

Install the QSFP28 end into the host device or switch QSFP28 port and connect the four SFP28 ends to the corresponding SFP28 ports on target devices. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-swap procedures recommended by your hardware vendor if supported. Verify link negotiation and speeds in the network management interface after connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radius for optimal signal quality.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use this cable within racks and short interconnects up to 2 meters. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force during installation. Confirm compatibility with your switch and server transceiver specifications, and check that firmware or driver settings allow breakout configurations from QSFP28 to multiple SFP28 ports.
