Netwerkkabel Dätwyler 21.05.0553 groen 5 m Cat6a S/FTP

The Dätwyler 21.05.0553 Green 5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a 5-meter Ethernet patch cable built to Cat6a performance and fitted with S/FTP shielding. It supports high-speed data transmission suitable for modern Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks, and comes terminated with RJ-45 connectors on both ends for straightforward connection to switches, routers, patch panels and network devices. The green jacket provides a clear visual identifier in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs to reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, improving signal integrity in dense cable installations. Cat6a performance delivers a wider frequency range and higher headroom compared with Cat6, enabling stable operation for demanding applications. The 5 m length offers flexibility for patching and device connection without excess cable slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting workstations, servers and network appliances to switches or patch panels
• High-density rack and cabinet patching where reduced interference is required
• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links within the specified channel length
• Office, data center and broadcast installations requiring identified cable runs

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a (augmented Category 6)
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall foil with individually foiled twisted pairs
• Length: 5 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 terminated on both ends
• Jacket color: green
• Intended use: patch cable for Ethernet networks up to 10 Gbps within channel limits

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your network device and the other end into a switch, router or patch panel port. Ensure connectors are fully seated and that cable bend radius is not exceeded to maintain signal performance. For permanent installations, verify that the cable length and connection scheme conform to your structured cabling layout and channel specifications.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for short patch runs and equipment connections where improved shielding is needed. Avoid sharp bends and physical strain on connectors; keep the cable away from high-power electrical conductors to minimize interference. Label both ends as needed for easy identification in multi-cable installations.
