Netwerkkabel Dexlan 858377 zwart 1,5m Cat6a S/FTP

The Dexlan 858377 Black 1.5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is designed for reliable, high-performance wired connections in home and professional networks. Compliant with Cat6a specifications, this 1.5 metre cable provides bandwidth suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short to medium distances. The S/FTP construction combines an overall shield with individually foil-shielded pairs to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure stable contact and reduced corrosion risk.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding enhances signal integrity in environments with multiple electronic devices or dense cabling runs, lowering packet loss and connection errors. Cat6a-rated twisted pairs support higher frequencies and sustained throughput compared with lower-category cables. The 1.5 m length offers a compact solution for connecting network equipment in racks, desktops, patch panels and wall outlets without excessive slack. A flexible PVC jacket and robust connector boots improve handling and durability during installation and regular use.

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding port on your networking devices until the latch clicks into place. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and kinks in the cable and keep it away from high-power electrical cabling where possible. Use the 1.5 m length to make tidy, short connections between switches, patch panels and endpoints. If routing through cable management or conduit, ensure the bend radius meets Cat6a handling guidelines to preserve shielding and pair integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal network performance, pair this Cat6a S/FTP cable with shielded ports and grounded patch panels where available. Test connections after installation using network diagnostic tools or link speed indicators to confirm 10G or intended link speeds. Replace cables that show physical damage or degraded connector contacts to maintain reliable connections.
