Netwerkkabel Dexlan 858378 Cat6a S/FTP 2m zwart

The Dexlan 858378 Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a 2-meter, black Ethernet cable designed for high-speed data transmission in wired networks. It features S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors on both ends to ensure stable connections and reduced electromagnetic interference. The cable supports Cat6a performance levels appropriate for demanding LAN, office, and home network environments where reliability and bandwidth are required.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines an overall shield with individually foiled pairs to limit crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity over the full 2 m length. Cat6a specification allows for higher frequencies and sustained throughput compared with earlier categories, supporting faster wired transfers and lower packet error rates. The cable's molded RJ-45 connectors provide secure plug retention and straightforward installation in switches, routers, patch panels, and network devices.

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding network port on devices such as a router, switch, or computer until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid tight bends, sharp kinks, and close contact with strong sources of electromagnetic noise. For patch panel or wall jack terminations, ensure connectors are fully seated and that the cable length is sufficient for cabinet or desk placements.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines for long distances and maintain gentle bend radii. Use the 2 m length for short runs between equipment; for longer structured cabling runs, select a longer Cat6a S/FTP cable. Test connections with a network tester after installation to confirm correct wiring and link speed.
