Netwerkkabel Dexlan 858726 5m Cat6a S/FTP RJ-45 blauw

The Dexlan 858726 5m Cat6a S/FTP RJ-45 Blue is a network patch cable engineered for high-throughput wired connections. Built to Cat6a category standards, this 5-meter cable uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and comes terminated with RJ-45 connectors on both ends for straightforward plug-and-play connection between routers, switches, computers and other network equipment. The blue jacket provides easy visual identification within structured cabling runs.

Advantages

This networking cable supports higher frequency transmission compared with earlier categories, enabling reliable data rates suitable for Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet over moderate distances. The S/FTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individually foil‑shielded pairs to improve signal integrity in environments with potential interference. Standard RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with common Ethernet ports, while the 5 m length balances reach and cable management for desktop and rack installations.

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into the corresponding port on a switch, router or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and prolonged compression, and keep it separate from power cables where possible to minimize interference. For best performance, avoid exceeding the recommended horizontal cabling distance for Cat6a when used for 10 Gigabit links.

Recommendations

Inspect connectors before installation to confirm they are undamaged and clean. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate cable management accessories and maintain bend radius and separation from sources of electromagnetic interference to preserve signal quality over time.
