Netwerkkabel Digitus CAT 6 S/FTP RJ-45 7m zwart

Future-oriented standards and high-end quality for your network: DIGITUS Category 6 Class E patch cords are designed and tested to meet ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 6 requirements. The cables offer performance up to 250 MHz, including parameters such as near-end crosstalk (NEXT), and are PoE+ ready. Each cable uses copper conductors and features a transparent red connector for clear identification of Category 6.

Advantages

The patch cords use an LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheath to minimise smoke and hazardous gases in the event of fire. Connectors have metal shielding and a transparent red housing for easy visual identification. Moulded boots provide kink protection, strain relief and an integrated latch protector to prevent breakage of the latching lever.

Key specifications

• Category: Category 6 / Class E
• Standards: ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50173
• Performance: up to 250 MHz (includes NEXT)
• Conductor material: Copper (Cu)
• Sheath: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Connector: transparent red plug with metal shielding
• PoE support: PoE+

How to use

Connect the patch cord between network devices or patch panels using the RJ45 connector. Ensure secure insertion until the latch clicks and route the cable to avoid sharp bends; the moulded boot provides kink protection and strain relief. Use appropriate cable management to maintain performance and prevent mechanical stress on the connector and cable.

Recommendations

For permanent installations, verify channel components comply with ISO/EN channel specifications and keep cable runs within recommended lengths to maintain Category 6 performance up to 250 MHz. Use LSZH cables in environments where reduced smoke and halogen-free emissions are required.
