Netwerkkabel Digitus CAT 6A U/FTP slank patchkabel RJ-45 Cat6a 1m grijs

The DIGITUS CAT 6A U/FTP Slim patch cord is a 1 m network cable with RJ-45 connectors designed for space-saving and flexible cabling. Its small 4.8 mm outer diameter and flexible LSZH outer sheath permit easy installation in confined spaces while meeting Category 6A (Class EA) performance up to 500 MHz. The cable features copper conductors and a transparent yellow, metal-shielded plug for quick identification of Cat 6A connections.

Advantages

The slim 4.8 mm design reduces bundle size and improves airflow in densely cabled installations. The LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) outer sheath provides better fire behaviour and low smoke emission. U/FTP shielding and metal‑shielded connectors reduce electromagnetic interference. Molded boots with kink protection, strain relief and latch protection increase connector durability and prevent latch breakage.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet networks requiring Cat6A performance (up to 500 MHz)
• Patch panels and switches in space-constrained racks and cabinets
• Data centers and server rooms where reduced cable diameter and airflow are important
• Office and enterprise LAN cabling with shielded requirements

Key specifications

• Standard: ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50173 Category 6A (Class EA)
• Frequency range: up to 500 MHz
• Cable type: U/FTP (overall unshielded with individually foil‑shielded pairs)
• Conductor material: Copper (Cu)
• Outer diameter: 4.8 mm
• Sheath: LSZH (low smoke zero halogen)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, metal-shielded, transparent yellow plug
• Length: 1 m
• Colour: Grey cable

How to use

Connect the RJ-45 plugs to the appropriate ports on switches, patch panels or network devices. Ensure the latch engages fully; the molded boot provides strain relief and protects against kinking near the connector. Route the slim patch cord through cable management channels or ties without excessive bending radius and avoid sharp edges to preserve the LSZH sheath and internal pair shielding.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the DIGITUS CAT 6A U/FTP Slim patch cord in end-to-end channel configurations that conform to ISO/EN standards, keep cable runs within specified length limits for patch cords, and avoid bundling with high-power electrical lines to reduce potential interference.
