Netwerkkabel EFB Elektronik K8708BL.2 RJ-45 Cat6a 2 m blauw

The EFB Elektronik K8708BL.2 RJ-45 Cat6a 2 m Blue is a 2-metre network cable designed to support high-speed wired connections up to 10000 Mbit/s. Built as a Cat6a cable with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, it is intended for reliable data transmission in home and office networks. The blue jacket provides easy visual identification within cable runs and racks.

Advantages

This Cat6a cable features S/FTP (shielded foil around pairs plus overall braid) construction to reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, improving signal integrity for demanding applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure stable contact and corrosion resistance for long-term use. The 2 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices within a room without excessive slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops and network switches within small office or home environments
• High-bandwidth applications such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet and multimedia streaming
• Patch panel to switch connections in structured cabling setups
• Temporary setups for events or test benches requiring reliable wired links

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a (augmented Category 6)
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Shielding: S/FTP (individually foil-shielded pairs with overall braided shield)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 2 m
• Color: Blue

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network port on your devices, such as a switch, router or computer. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a proper mechanical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it clear of sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible. For structured cabling, use the cable for patching between panels and active equipment at horizontal distances that suit a 2 m lead.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and kinks; maintain bend radius recommended for Cat6a cables. Use the cable indoors in standard temperature environments and keep it away from high-voltage power lines to minimize interference. When installing multiple shielded cables, maintain proper grounding of the shielding at patch panels or equipment to preserve the benefits of S/FTP construction.
