Netwerkkabel GOOBAY 68501 RJ-45 Cat5e 1 m wit U/UTP 10/100/1000Base-T(X)

Goobay 68501 is a 1 m Cat5e networking cable with RJ-45 plugs on both ends, engineered for 10/100/1000Base-T(X) Ethernet connections. The cable uses U/UTP construction to minimise electromagnetic interference and ensure stable data transfer in home and office networks. Its white outer jacket blends with common networking setups and allows discreet connection between routers, switches and PCs.

Advantages

The Cat5e specification supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds over short distances and is backward compatible with Fast Ethernet. U/UTP design provides a balance between signal integrity and flexibility, while the 1 m length is convenient for close-proximity connections. Standard RJ-45 plugs on both ends make the cable compatible with a wide range of network devices without additional adapters.

Suitable for

• Connecting a PC or laptop to a router or switch
• Patch panel to switch short patching in racks or small cabinets
• Home and small office Ethernet wiring where 1 m cable length is sufficient
• Replacing or extending existing short network links

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Length: 1 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Supported cabling standard: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Construction: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with overall unshielded jacket)
• Colour: White

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your router, switch or modem and the other end into the Ethernet port of your computer or network device. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm secure contact. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and keep the cable away from strong sources of electrical noise such as unshielded power transformers or heavy machinery. If routing through cable channels or under desks, allow gentle curvature and avoid compressing the cable.

Recommendations

Use this Goobay Cat5e cable for short-distance, in-room connections where Gigabit-capable links are needed but Cat6 runs are not required. For installations exposed to high electromagnetic interference or requiring future higher speeds, consider shielded or higher-category cables and appropriate grounding.
