Netwerkkabel Helos 263746 grijs 7,5 m Cat6a S/FTP

The Helos 263746 Grey 7.5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is designed for reliable wired connectivity in home, office and data-center adjacent environments. Complying with the Cat6a performance class, the cable supports high-speed Ethernet links and reduced crosstalk thanks to its S/FTP shielding. Both ends are fitted with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold for improved contact conductivity and corrosion resistance. The grey jacket provides a neutral appearance that integrates into most installation environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding (overall foil with individually shielded pairs) minimizes electromagnetic interference and alien crosstalk, improving signal integrity at higher frequencies. Cat6a performance enables 10 Gigabit Ethernet over typical building distances when properly installed. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs offer a stable electrical contact and lower contact resistance compared with unplated connectors. The 7.5 m length balances reach and cable management for many desk-to-switch or patch-panel connections.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links in office and small server room setups
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, large file transfers and VoIP
• Connections between desktops, network switches, patch panels and routers
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where shielded cable is preferred

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-screened pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts
• Length: 7.5 m
• Jacket colour: grey

How to use

Ensure both network endpoints are powered off or operating per manufacturer recommendations before connecting. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and heavy mechanical stress; maintain the cable bend radius recommended for Cat6a to preserve performance. Insert each RJ-45 connector fully into the device port until the latch engages. For permanent installations, secure the cable along its route with appropriate clips or cable management hardware and avoid running shielded pairs parallel and close to unshielded power lines to reduce interference.

Recommendations

For optimal 10 Gigabit performance, use the cable for direct connections up to recommended distances and verify that connected equipment and patch panels also support Cat6a and shielded terminations. When terminating or routing shielded cables, ensure proper grounding of shielded connectors and panels to maintain shielding effectiveness.
