Netwerkkabel Helos 263758 blauw 7,5 m Cat6a S/FTP

The Helos 263758 Blue 7.5 m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable provides a shielded, high-performance connection for wired Ethernet environments. Designed to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short to medium runs, this Cat6a cable uses S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to maintain signal integrity and reduce interference. Its 7.5 m length and blue jacket make it practical for home offices, workstations, and structured cabling where a visible, color-coded link is useful.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines overall foil shielding with individually shielded twisted pairs to limit crosstalk and protect against external electromagnetic interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure reliable contact and stable conductivity. The Cat6a category supports higher frequencies and bandwidth than Cat5e or Cat6, enabling consistent high-speed data transfer and lower error rates in demanding network conditions. The 7.5 m length offers flexibility for typical desk-to-switch or patch panel connections without excess cable slack.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links within offices and server rooms over short to medium distances
• Connecting desktop computers, network switches, routers, and patch panels
• High-bandwidth applications such as video conferencing, large file transfers, and online gaming
• Structured cabling where color-coding simplifies identification and maintenance

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a (augmented performance for 10GBASE-T)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 7.5 m
• Outer color: blue

How to use

Route the Helos Cat6a cable between network devices, ensuring connectors are fully inserted into RJ-45 ports until they click. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tension along the cable path to preserve shielding and pair geometry. For patching, keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic noise such as mains transformers and unshielded power cables. If used in a structured cabling system, label both ends as needed to match port assignments.

Recommendations

For optimum performance, maintain bend radius greater than four times the cable diameter and avoid kinking. When deploying near potential interference sources, verify link quality with network testing tools and prefer shielded ports or properly grounded patch panels to benefit from the S/FTP shielding.
