Netwerkkabel Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 1,5 m

The Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 1.5 m networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. With S/FTP (screened foil twisted pair) shielding and RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this 1.5-metre cable supports environments where reduced electromagnetic interference and consistent signal quality are required. The cable's blue jacket provides a clear visual identification within structured cabling installations and short connection runs between devices.

Advantages

S/FTP construction combines an overall screening with individual pair foil shields to minimize crosstalk and external interference, improving signal stability for demanding network traffic. The Cat 6a specification supports higher frequencies and data rates compared with earlier categories, enabling better performance for gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications over short distances. Factory-terminated RJ-45 connectors ensure plug-and-play compatibility with standard network equipment while the 1.5 m length offers flexibility without excess cable slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, switches, routers and networked devices in home or office setups
• Short patch runs in server rooms, racks and wall outlets
• High-bandwidth applications such as HD video streaming, online gaming and large file transfers
• Environments where electromagnetic interference may affect unshielded cables

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid/foil + individual pair foil)
• Length: 1.5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Colour: Blue

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your source device (computer, switch or router) and the other connector into the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a solid mechanical and electrical connection. Avoid tight bends and sharp kinks in the cable and keep the cable run away from strong sources of electromagnetic noise, such as large motors or unshielded power cabling, to maintain optimal transmission quality.

Recommendations

For best results, use this Cat 6a S/FTP cable for short to medium length connections within rack enclosures or between wall outlets and devices. Maintain bend radius recommendations from the connector and avoid stretching the cable; when routing near potential interference sources, consider additional cable management or separation to preserve signal integrity.
